StoryMaps

How would you feel about helping someone else learn how to use it?

I feel somewhat good helping any other person with this tool. It’s difficult at beginning, but I think I learned to a couple of things along the way when working on the training.

What are the benefits and limitations of this tool?

Benefits it has a lot of features you can work with. Even with those features some things are still limited with how creative you want to when making your page.

What sort of accessibility concerns should you consider with this tool?

Sometimes the color options, their aren’t enough choices. Sometimes it lets you choose/create your own color and sometimes it doesn’t.

Look at the StoryMap examples provided below. From what you can see, what makes a good StoryMaps? What is something to avoid?

Something to avoid is using drastic colors that make it difficult to see/read for the viewer. When writing you text can be too long or too dull. As well as images, images have to be clean/clear/and visible. If you have bad images than no one wants to continue with looking at your. cite. Something that makes a good StoryMaps is doing the opposite of whatever makes a bad StoryMap. Have good colors, have interesting text where it intrigues viewers to keep reading, but not too long it looks like an essay. As well as having interesting and clear images that go with your cite.

WeVideo

In a blog post on your portfolio site, reflect on the experience of learning how to use WeVideo for video editing. How would you feel about helping someone else learn how to use it? What did you find most interesting? What did you find most frustrating? What questions do you still have, and what parts of the tool do you want to explore more deeply?

I think I feel pretty confident in helping someone with using WeVideo. Some things I did found interesting was the amount of options even for free users there were in order to make your video much more interesting. They had the audio, cool transitions, different style of text, etc. was something I found really nice functions to have. Something I found frustrating was how some of the video boxes are too small for you to edit anything, like the audio,. Thankfully there is a button to zoom in into your videos so you can be more precise with what parts you want to edit in your video. I also taught it was very tedious to edit, but once you get the hang of it, it’s can go very smooth. Overall I don’t have any questions as of now, the video was very helpful in seeing how to manage and use WeVideo. Something I want to work more deeply is creating longer videos and playing more with the audio.

Documentation

After both reading and writing documentation, what do you think is necessary to create good documentation? What documentation will you and your project lead need to create for your Vivero project – and what steps do you need to take to make this happen?

After reading and writing a documentation is having a good explanation on details that are relevant instead of vague responses. It’s important to have a good insight on your project and stepping into the new users shoes on what is information that is relevant and issues they may run into that can help them solve it. We will need to create a documentation Documentation your Work Log, do to a lot of this is trial and error, as well as your learning a lot of information in order to put in the site. I think it can also be a mix of Documenting Work Flow do the featured Elementor we use in order to make it look nice. The steps I will need to take and making sure what steps are useful, keep note on the things I did with Elementor with all the features it has. As well as I will create different sections on how to use specific tools needed to continue with the project. I will write based on what I did and how I managed doing it as well as tips and tricks they can benefit from it. I also will talk to my Project Lead and ask her what she thinks it’s useful to mention. Once more thing I will mention is all the things we use in order to communicate and keep the information we need to create our site.
